On October 1, 2009 Sharpsburg Arsenal closed its retail outlet. Retail sales are conducted through our onlne catalog, trade shows, and scheduled appointments at our current place of business.
Built in 1819 by John Knode as his residence, Sharpsburg Arsenal was located in the historic square of Sharpsburg, Maryland. During the Battle of Antietam, artillery fire from the Union batteries located on Cemetery Hill, firing on Lee's Headquarters in the Grove House across the square, hit this home. Wounded soldiers from the Battle of Antietam were housed here for weeks after the battle.
I would like to thank everyone who visited our store in the past 13 years. I look forward to continuing to serve the collecting community and hope to see all of our past customers at shows in the future.
